Biography

Owned by Ellen Burge, a 20 year kiln veteran, Clay  Impressions Pottery Studio is nestled between woods, farmland and the north shore of Prince Edward Island.  As appealing to the collector as to the average consumer, you will find exquisite hand crafted creations that are inspired by nature, while expertly designed and engineered in Ellen's completed home studio.

With an equal emphasis on durability and attractive appearance the dishes are carefully designed for their intended daily use. All edges and rims are rounded and compressed for chip resistance and sanded to protect heirloom table tops.  Each pot is crafted by hand, retaining its own unique characteristics of color, glaze melt, shape and size.  Carefully chosen glazes are incredibly durable, non-toxic, lead free and easily cleaned. Safe in the dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer, the pottery is both beautiful and practical.

It is Ellen's sincerest wish that you will use her pots daily, and for decades to
come.
